Honolulu, Hawai‘i – March 9, 2020 – Eia Hawaii Fund, the nonprofit organization behind the Eia Hawaiʻi Festival has announced today that the first edition of the festival scheduled for July 2020 will be postponed to a later date in 2021 due to COVID-19 health threats to our communities.

“At the request of our partners, and in light of the current pandemic we have agreed to postpone the festival to hopefully 2021. This delay, while completely outside of our control, does not impact our commitment to making this festival a success nor our desire to raise funds for social, educational and environmental projects in Hawaiʻi. This delay will allow our partners to prepare their involvement for the first edition of the festival. Our working partnership with Nascent Vek Group will be extended to an extra year and they have agreed to increase their financial commitment to the Eia Hawaiʻi Festival in light of this unforeseen delay.

While we appreciate that a lot of people will be disappointed and we apologize for having to postpone it to a later date but the safety and well-being of all is paramount. All those who have put tickets on hold will have the opportunity later in the year to confirm their bookings. As a gesture of goodwill, these tickets will be automatically discounted by 50%. All artists and vendors who have already submitted an application will be automatically moved to the next edition if they so choose”.
